Welcome to Motion Dance!
Motion Dance was established in February 2010 by Becca Feesey (BA Hons), in Crowborough, East Sussex to take dance out into the community, regardless of age or ability! Specialising in Contemporary, Modern and Street Dance Becca teaches at 2 different dance schools, runs her own Street Classes in Crowborough, teaches in Care Homes across Sussex and Kent, as well as in schools and running regular dance parties. Providing high quality dance teaching in a fun and creative environment, Becca’s number one aim is to share her passion for dance with all - her eldest pupil being 104 and her youngest being 4, proving that dance really is for anyone regardless of age or ability!
Becca Feesey (BA Hons)
Becca Feesey started dance training at an early age, at The Deborah Lamb Theatre School, Uckfield, East Sussex. She trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz, gaining distinction in all of her final RAD and ISTD examinations before accepting a place to study Dance and Professional Practice at Coventry University. Whilst at University she focused mainly on Contemporary dance and gained work experience in many different places in the community, from Birmingham Children’s Hospital to working with a group of young mothers in Tile Hill, Coventry. It was here that Becca realised her love for working in the community, offering dance to all regardless of their age or ability!
After graduating in 2009 with an Upper Second Class Honours Becca moved back to Sussex and established Motion Dance. She is currently studying towards her Modern Theatre Diploma in Dance Instruction with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Becca is very excited to have ventured out on her own, sharing her passion for dance with others and is sure this is the start of something special…!
Baby News! Following the birth of Becca’s daughter in January 2012 she is now on maternity leave until Easter. Crowborough classes will be covered by Nicola Cosshall from January – Easter and Primary Schools until Summer 2012. Although on maternity leave, Becca is still taking party bookings for after Easter.
Nicola has been training in Dance for 7 years at The Deborah Lamb Theatre School, Uckfield, East Sussex. She has trained in Modern Theatre, Tap and Ballet having successfully passed vocational exams in both Tap and Modern Theatre. She has also completed her Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in both Tap and Modern Theatre, now currently working towards her Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE). Nicola thoroughly enjoys performing and has appeared in Eastbourne Panto over the last few years as a member of the chorus. She has always enjoyed performing and is now looking forward to passing on the passion and enjoyment she has with those that she teaches.
